Alan Kasymov

– Bass

Alan started playing both double bass and electric bass at age 13. At age 15 he entered The College of Music (Russia) focusing on double bass. He earned a 4 year degree in music education and orchestral performance. When he was 19 he won two nationwide competitions in Russia for double bass players. At the age of 21 Alan entered into the Russian Army joining the Military Symphony Orchestra. He studied with one of the best known Russian jazz bass players, Viktor Dvoskin. When he was 23 Alan was accepted into the Jacksonville symphony orchestra as a substitute player.
 
His major influences include Jaco Pastorius (Weather Report), Stanley Clark (Chick Corea Band) and John Patitucci.
